               Every town is entitled to at least one beautiful old home reminiscent of a castle on the Rhine. Warren is fortunate to have such a home; mellowed red brick, ivy covered, and complete with turret and balcony.

               The Frederick Morck home was built in 1886. The house has sixteen rooms with floors and woodwork of solid cherry. One of the most distinctive rooms was used as a study. It is octagonal in shape and has a wood-burning fireplace. The design of this room was a favorite of Thomas Jefferson and was used in his home at Monticello.

               The hand-carved arches and columns in the hall, living rooms, and dining room lend an air of space and light often missing in older homes. The home was furnished with period pieces and included antique pieces. One conversation piece was the doll house with its completely furnished rooms. It was not uncommon for children of wealth to have a lavish doll house.
